Problem
The existing websites provide help in just one part of the process of choosing and changing a professional field.
Goal
Designing a tool that will combine the talents and personal skills of the user and will support the user through the whole process of changing careers.
User research
Summary
I conducted user interviews, and then I turned to empathy maps to better understand the users' needs. I discovered that many target users have difficulties combining their skills with their talents and choosing a career that will fit them and will satisfy them. Some of the users were aware of the new career they want to experience, but they needed more information about required responsibilities and qualifications.
User pain points
1
Often users have difficulties to determine new career based just on the personality test.
2
Some of the users need more practically oriented events before starting a course or other qualification.
3
Some users feel confused by too much information scattered between different platforms and find it difficult to go through the process of changing careers.
Persona 1
Creating a user persona is an important step in understanding the target users' primary needs and challenges for the application. Gathering information as part of the research and creating a notional representation based on real data can help develop better solutions that meet user needs and goals.
